PREVIEW: IDKHOW & Joywave @ The Sylvee

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME and Joywave will perform at The Sylvee on August 27th on their Welcome to Hellvetica North American tour.  

iDKHOW is an indie pop/new wave musical project formed by dynamic duo Dallon Weekes, lead vocalist and bassist, and Ryan Seaman as drummer. The two have formerly worked on The Brobecks together, before moving on to other projects. Weekes was a member of Panic! At the Disco from 2009 to 2017 and Seaman has been involved in Falling in Reverse, Icon for Hire and more.

Their debut album, RAZZMATAZZ, is a blend of 80s-esque glittery synths, funky guitar licks and bass that are nostalgic in the most comforting way. Popular songs from this album include “Leave Me Alone” and “New Invention” which sit at about 26 million and 14 million listens on Spotify respectively.

Joywave is an American indie rock band from New York formed in 2010, with their lineup consisting of Daniel Armbruster as lead vocals, Joseph Morinelli on guitar, and Paul Brenner on drums. Their 2022 album—Cleanse—is their fourth studio album, focusing on themes of morality and where one falls into the world in changing times. Akin to the band’s namesake, Joywave’s sound is both vibrant and lush in tone: making it perfect to dance to.

iDKHOW performed in Madison last year at the Majestic. You won’t want to miss them this year as they play for a larger audience.
